As a martial artist and trainer for over 17 years, Nichole has learned what it takes to achieve balance through proper nutrition, exercise, and meditation. It is because of her personal experiences that she loves to share her knowledge and training with others.

“My journey to healthy living and goal setting started in 1997 when I became a student of the martial arts. The discipline and focus learned in the karate studio propelled me into a life of goal setting and learning how to live my best life by being healthy.”

My Journey of Health

Throughout childhood and adolescence I was often sick and struggled with a low immune system. As I entered into adulthood I was determined to learn ways that I could make my body strong so that even the common cold wouldn’t wipe me out. When I was a first- year college student I quickly learned that dorm living was not the life for me. The combination of cafeteria food and germs lingering around every corner found me struggling to be well. I began to read nutrition articles in magazines and began to learn about food. I was one of the lucky ones who, instead of gaining the freshman 15, I actually lost 15 lbs.

It is no wonder that entering the world of martial arts helped me learn even more about food and the body. I became intrigued with the concept of food as fuel. In 2004 I decided to become certified in sports nutrition so that I could learn, in even more detail, how food could keep me strong and healthy. What started as a personal interest eventually turned into using my knowledge to help others. It is truly a passion to help others reach their nutritional goals: from marathons to making better nutritional choices throughout the day.

My Goal Setting Path

Setting goals for myself also became a commonality for me after becoming a student in the martial arts. I devoted my life to living the Principles of Black Belt. The rank system of karate teaches the student about patience, laying a foundation, and commitment towards a goal. These basic elements translated into my personal and professional life in ways unimaginable when I was a white belt. The goal setting process is one that takes dedication and identification of your passions. Throughout my adult life I have successfully achieved each goal I have set and I am thrilled to share the secrets in helping you live the life you want.
